Last? member of my Mordheim Reiklanders.

 Hi folks,

I’m delighted to share (after several months of silence)  that I’ve just painted the final miniature I was missing for my Mordheim Reiklander warband: the second youngblood! With this guy completed, my band is now fully assembled and ready for some chaotic warp-touched skirmishes.

This model was a fun one , plenty of detail, great sculpting, and as usual for late-90s Games Workshop, that distinct “Perry twins” style of work.

Both Youngbloods.

The full metal warband (I have both captains, but only one painted so far)

The plastic henchmen

More fantasy stuff very soon.

Cheers

Mordheim: second Reiklander Champion

Hi guys,

I don't play Mordheim since a year or so, but I want to play a game soon with friends, so my band need to be reinnforced. In tha past few years I have painted a full Reiklander warband, but I managed to get all the classic metal miniatures so I will expand the bande with these new additions.

This one is a Reiklander champion,  a "tank" in the warband, the guy in heavy armour who delivers terrible blows with his double handed weapon!

The miniature is obviously from Citadel  Mordheim range, and was painted in a mixture of Vallejo and Foundry paints.  Buff leather and Scarlet triads are some of my favourite Foundry paints. Metals with Vallejo model air, and white with Vallejo greys and white. The flesh is Vallejo "Panzer Aces" flesh base highlighted with skin or Iraqi sand.  Then gloss varnish (Ammo Mig) in the metal parts and Ultra matt varnish (Green Stuff World) on the flesh and fabrics.

I hope you like it.

A little Mordheim update

Hi guys,

Today, I present you a very quick update of my Mordheim Reiklander warband, the good old metal youngblood!

This miniature is full of little details, like most Mordheim minis, I think it was sculpted by the Perrys (that was the GW norm in the late 90'). There were two models of Reiklander youngbloods, I own both, but I like this one more than the other miniature (armed with two hand weapons, sword and knife) and given his "uniform" I definitely will use him in my free company/militia unit in Warhammer Fantasy.

The paints were mostly Foundry and Vallejo, with GW "Rakarth flesh" for the off white shirt, mixed with some white. I like how this model turned out, and wanted to share it with you guys.

I hope you like it!

Cheers

My Mordheim warband: Reiklanders!

Hello fellow wargamers,

This time, I show you my Reikland warband. These mercenaries are not finished yet, I plan to add all the official miniatures, I have all of them in the pipeline, but they will have to wait for a while yet...

I initially painted this Warband, mostly with plastic  militia parts and an Empire Captain in metal. I painted them with Foundry paints, I ordered a few triads from them. Some are great, some are "meeeh" I really love their browns, but I always mix mid tones between the proposed colors.

After the initial warband, I added some new guys, and a couple of official Mordheim miniatures, the captain and one of the champions.

Here you have close up pics of all my Reiklanders!

The henchmen:

nº1

nº2

nº3

nº4

nº5

nº 6

nº 7

nº8 (this one was painted some years ago, is part of an Empire Archer unit of WHF)

And now some heroes,  The Captain and the Champion

Cheers!
